Tantra: A Journey In Discovery

Are you ready for an explosion of energy in your life? Then you must be ready to challenge yourself and face the unknown. Many people, who integrate tantra into their relationships or become sole practitioners, quickly notice that their energy begins to oscillate at a much higher rate, which can have a number of effects in the early stages.

Sexual energy is such a powerful force and I believe that tantra should never be practiced as an excuse to indulge sexually, because that energy can consume you if not practiced with a purity of mind and heart.

I’m going to speak from experience, because there are many forms of tantra and not all of them revolve around sex. Many women and men who experience tantra massage report a rapid surge in their overall vitality and energy. As the tension from emotional issues are peeled away, like a snake shedding its skin, a feeling of surrender and childlike vulnerability begins to emerge.

When someone enters into your life and suddenly awakens you from your slumber, some people are thrilled by what they see and can’t wait to experience the world in a new way. More fragile people tend to retreat and surface only when they have gathered enough strength to embrace the change.

Tantra taught me to develop a powerful awareness of self and forced me to reexamine the relationships in my life, that had caused my heart to shut down. A part of me wanted to return to basque in my old, comfortable and slovenly ways. Fortunately, I soon realized that the current of life, that carried me was far greater than anything I could swim against.

Eventually, you have to let go…
