Guide to Chakra and Energy Touch in Tantric Massage
As a tantric massage therapist, one thing my friends often ask me is what my massage is really about. The truth is, for me it has never been only about relaxing muscles or helping someone feel good for an hour. That may be where it starts, but it is not where it ends.
The deeper part begins when touch starts to change something inside a person. I mean the moment the breath slows down, the mood softens, and the body begins to open in a different way. That is the part I find most beautiful. It is not only physical. It is emotional, sensual, and energetic all at once.
That is also why chakra awareness interests me so much in tantric work. It brings another layer to the experience. It can make the session feel more connected, more intimate, and much more alive.
In this guide, I want to share a simple way to understand chakra and positive pole massage without making it sound too serious or complicated. I am not writing this like a textbook. I am writing it from my massage room, from real experience, and from those moments when you can feel someone slowly opening under your hands.
What chakras mean in massage
The chakras idea come from Tantric , they are the energy centres of the body. You can think of them as points where emotion, tension, sensuality, and awareness often gather. In tantric massage, paying attention to these areas can make the session feel much deeper than a normal body rub.
There are 7 chakras along the centre line of the body. The crown is at the top of the head and is linked with bliss and surrender. The third eye is in the forehead and connects with intuition. The throat is about expression. The heart is where tenderness and emotional warmth often sit. The solar plexus is linked with confidence and personal strength. The belly is strongly connected to emotion and sensuality. The root, low in the body, is the place of desire, safety, and primal energy.
- Seventh (Crown): Bliss and oneness.
- Sixth (Third Eye): Intuition and transcendence.
- Fifth (Throat): Creativity and expression.
- Fourth (Heart): Love and sacredness.
- Third (Solar Plexus): Individual truth.
- Second (Belly): Emotions and sensuality.
- Base (Root): Primal desire and survival.
You do not need to be mystical about it. In practice, these are simply areas where touch can create a strong response.

Start by creating calm
Before any deeper energy work, the body needs to settle. This part is often skipped, but it matters a lot. If someone is still nervous or mentally busy, the energy will stay scattered.
A good beginning is very simple. Slow down the room. Slow down the breathing. Let the person feel safe and looked after. A quiet moment of eye contact, a pause before the first touch, or even a respectful bow can help mark the start of the session. It gives the massage a sense of intention, and that changes the mood straight away.
One grounding hold many tantric therapists use is placing one hand on the crown of the head and the other low on the body near the pubic area. This kind of touch can help the person feel connected from top to bottom. It often brings a lovely sense of stillness before the session becomes more sensual.

Tatnric massage secrets
Understanding positive pole massage
Positive pole massage works with the idea that the body holds charge between two important points. In simple words, it treats the body a little like a battery. When you connect these poles with care, the energy can start to move more freely.
Usually, this begins by warming the pelvic and genital area slowly and without rushing. The key is to stay away from a performance mindset. Tantric massage becomes much more powerful when the touch is patient, playful, and not obsessed with a quick ending.
Once the area is awake and responsive, one hand can rest at the crown while the other stays over the pelvic or genital area. The goal is to encourage the sensation to travel through the body instead of staying trapped in one place. When done well, this often creates a fuller, softer, more emotional kind of pleasure.
Working with heart and third eye energy
Two other areas that can add a lot to a tantric massage session are the heart and the third eye. A gentle touch over the heart can bring warmth, vulnerability, and sometimes a surprising emotional release. A light touch at the forehead can create a dreamy, floating feeling that deepens relaxation and trust.
These are just very small details, but in my experience, they can completely change the atmosphere of a session and bring it to a higher level of experience. Sometimes the most powerful part is not the stronger touch. It is the quieter touch that makes the body feel seen.
A simple chakra journey
If you want to explore the full chakra flow, move slowly from the root upward. Use small circular strokes or gentle resting touch at each centre: root, belly, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown. Give each area time. The body usually responds better when it is not hurried.
Breathing is very important here. Slow breathing helps the body soften and helps sensation spread. This is one of those little secrets that sounds simple, but makes a real difference in the room.
Do not rush the ending
The end of an energy-based massage should feel just as considered as the beginning. After strong sensual or emotional opening, it is better to leave a little silence. A soft embrace, a still moment, or a quiet pause can help the person come back gently.
That afterglow is part of the massage too.
Tantric energy work is amazing because it always reminds me that pleasure is not only just physical. When touch, breath, and awareness come together, the body often feels more open and alive. For me, that is where the real tantric magic begins and why I like being a tantric massage therapist.
